How to remove a stuck glass stopper from a perfume bottle

Having a perfume bottle, you might have had this dilemma for if the glass stopper is stuck inside out. This can be quite frustrating as you want to get your favourite scent but you cannot reach it out of the bottle. Don't worry. Here are some quick steps and tips on how to get that glass stopper out without damage.

How to Get Rid of the Stuck Perfume Bottle Topper within Simple Steps

Step 1: Warm Up the Bottle

And number one, warm up the 50ml perfume bottle. You can do that by placing the bottle under running hot water for a couple of minutes. Using warm water will soften any glue/sticky residue that might make it stuck ever there. Note: Watch out for the hot water though.

Step 2: Use a Rubber Glove

After that, if you have a glove or even a latex glove make sure to wear it on your hand. A rubber glove provides more friction on the stopper.

Step 3: Twist and Pull

It's time to to give twisting the stopper a go. Hang on to it and give a soft shake from side to side. It needs to be turned right (clockwise) and then left (counterclockwise). Do not pull too hard or jerk it becasue this might break the glass or pull off the neck of your black fragrance bottle.

Step 1: Warm Up the Bottle

Additionally, begin by placing the bottle under the hot running water for 2 – 3 minutes. The warm water will break down any glue or goo keeping the stopper stuck in place.

Step 2: Twist the Stopper

While donning your rubber glove, clamp down on the stopper and see if you can twist it back and forth. Use the rigth and left side alternately.

Step 3: Add Friction

If the twist is not working, take a rubber band or some cloth and wrap it around the stopper for more grip. You will be better able to grip it.

Step 4: Pull Straight Up

Once twisted, hold the stopper and attempt to lift it straight up. Take your time and apply consistent pressure when doing so. Do not pull it suddenly because this can break the 5ml perfume bottle and from stopper.

Step 5: Work in a Needle or Pin

If the stopper is still refusing to budge use a needle or pin to try and penetrate glue or sticky residue. Just remember to be gentle.
